“I am delighted that ‘VOGUE World’ has found its third home here in Paris,” announced Anna Wintour, Chief Content Officer of Condé Nast and Global Editorial Director of VOGUE, at the Ritz Paris. “When ‘VOGUE World: New York’ presented itself as a kind of street party and ‘VOGUE World: London’ presented itself as a fascinating night of theater in support of London’s artistic and cultural institutions, Paris presents itself as a ceremony opening; one that celebrates 100 years of fashion and sport, but also this extraordinary city”, said Anna Wintour. An illustrious group was present at the announcement: Bruno Pavlovsky, executive president of the “Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode”, the stylists Simon Porte Jacquemus, Olivier Rousteing, Marine Serre and Pharrell Williams, as well as some French Olympians, including fencer Enzo Lefort.

Pharrell Williams, who moved to Paris to take the helm of Louis Vuitton Menswear, echoed Anna Wintour’s remarks and expressed his enthusiasm for the “VOGUE World” stop in the City of Light: “‘VOGUE World: Paris’ will showcase highlights the best of French style; both what we see on the catwalks and what can be admired on the avenues and boulevards,” added Pharrell Williams, continuing: “It is the inclusive spirit that has long made this city a haven for artists – and that continues to make Parisian fashion so extraordinary.”
