Dabiz Muñoz He rose to number one on the list of The Best Chef Awards on Wednesday. A title that makes him, for this international organization that recognizes the most prominent protagonists of the gastronomic scene, the best chef in the world. The gala, held in person in Amsterdam last night, has also recognized the work of another Spaniard, Andoni Luis Aduriz, who this publication has placed in third position behind the Swedish chef Björn Frantzen – number one in the 2019 edition of these awards -.

The triumphant chef from Madrid expressed his joy on Wednesday: «Get number one in the awards Best Chef Awards it is an incredible pride and responsibility. It is a dream come true, which recognizes many years of creativity, dedication, passion and hard work. The last few years have been very intense and brutal, but my team and I are clear that this is only the beginning, and the best is yet to come. There are no limits in sight.

These awards, granted with the votes of the chefs themselves –among other professionals in the sector–, have also recognized this year the three-star Spanish Joan Roca, in fourth place, and the architects of Enjoy Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch and Mateu Casañas, in sixth place. The Danish Rene Redzepi, who received his long-awaited third this week Michelin star, is also among the top ten on the list, in fifth position.
