‘Does the fashion world take older people into account?’, Debated in the ABC and La Caixa forum

Laura Peraita

Does the fashion world take older people into account? For some experts in the profession, the textile sector focused on this group is still a minority, and much more if it comes to men’s fashion. However, there are those who believe that the elderly “are no longer what they were and now they care more about their image” by feeling more active, having more social relationships and living longer. How older people feel supported or not supported, whether a greater variety is needed in the current offering and what their preferences are will be some of the main topics of the next debate of Senior Conversations, organized by ABC and the ”la Caixa” Foundation.

The meeting will be broadcast by live streaming and will take place on next October 7 from 11 to 12 in the morning. Among the guests are Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, a designer with 40 years of experience in the world of fashion and design; Juan Banderas, a retiree who has dedicated his entire life to the sector; and, finally, Lucía Ferrer, passionate about fashion.
