Electricity rates today register almost prohibitive levels at ‘peak’ hours

Regulated electricity rates register today new highs and reach prices of up to 0.25574 euros per kilowatt hour (kWh). It will be between 20 and 21 hours, just when consumption is usually higher. In addition, demand increases these days with the operation of air conditioners due to the high temperatures that exist in almost the entire country.

The minimum price of the day is registered between 3 and 4 hours: 0.1078 euros per kWh. This means that today, with the new rate system for hourly periods, the highest price of the day is 137% more expensive than the lowest price.
