Policarpo Díaz Arévalo, who was a social phenomenon in the 1980s and a boxing icon in the 1990s, had planned to return to the ring to face another legend whose name had not been made public in an exhibition match.
In a recent interview with ABC, the former champion was happy with his return to Madrid. It’s a good life, now I’m better. I have been rehabilitated for years », he pointed out. Asked why he had changed in the last two decades with respect to his way of being, he replied: «I have more head now, it is more settled. I know what I want a little more. It was time!”.
