“I would not recommend that my mother get up at 2 in the morning to iron,” says Minister Ribera

J. G. N.

Ribera shared his surprise by some recommendations that “they are probably exaggerations” to lower the price of the electricity bill, alluding to the suggestions of doing housework at unusual hours.

“I would not recommend that my mother get up at 2:00 in the morning to iron or go back. There are very reasonable sections to put the dishwasher and the washing machine: from 8.00-10.00, from 14.00 to 18.00, from 22.00 to 24.00, and the whole weekend; rates that are equivalent to the current rates in those central sections in the early and late afternoon and much cheaper rates on weekends, holidays and at night », he exposed.

‘The average effect probably, even if no action was taken, there would be a reduction in the bill that we pay for each of our homes ”, he guaranteed, ensuring that,“ if we are careful, this reduction is more important ”as it will also be more expensive“ if we concentrate all our consumption in the most expensive hours of the day ”.

In Ribera’s opinion, the new rate formula «it is a fairly balanced proposal » and its variation will affect 30% of the final bill, while the rest of the bill depends on the electricity market and taxation, reports Servimedia.
