Richard Branson’s romance, known for his Virgin brand, with Mallorca began more than 30 years ago when in 1987 he bought the Son Bunyola estate with the intention of building a luxury hotel complex. As it is an Asset of Cultural Interest, the Mallorcan administration denied the building licenses and the billionaire English businessman sold it in 2002. In 2015 he repurchased the land for just over 12 million euros.

In addition to the main building, which is now going to be restored, Son Bunyola includes three luxury villas available for exclusive rental: Sa Punta S’Aguila, Sa Terra Rotja and Son Balagueret.
