Bottoms at the 2023 Met Gala? Overrated according to Kendall Jenner.
Kendall Jenner, Lagerfeld’s model and muse in her own right, known for occasionally forgoing pants, skipped pants altogether for her red carpet look and instead wore a sequined black bodysuit with a white shirt by Peter Pan. of hers, which she paired with her knee-high platform lace-up boots.
Going pantless is quite a statement in itself, but Jenner wasn’t done. She posed on the red carpet with floor-length sleeves that fell down each side of the long-sleeved jumpsuit, creating a cape-like effect.

Although Kendall Jenner was one of the late Chanel designer Lagerfeld’s favorite models, she wore Marc Jacobs to the gala event. Her leotard was completely covered in shimmering black sequins that sparkled under the lights of the multicolored gala carpet. The white collar and slight underside of the long sleeves looked very typical of Chanel given the black and white color palette. Even her collar was encrusted with jewels to add to the glitter factor for the big night. Jenner kept the rest of her look minimal with a high ponytail, flower-shaped earrings, and the aforementioned chunky platforms.
Jenner has been a guest at the Met Gala for several years and her looks never disappoint. In 2022, the model wore a flowy Prada gown with a sheer bodice and huge ball gown skirt (and lightened eyebrows); after the gala, she admitted she had to pee in a bucket on her way to the event.
