#1 Angelica balm

A child who can’t sleep because of a runny nose? An absolute nightmare for me as a new mom. While still dealing with the nasal aspirator and sea salt nose drops with baby #1 – surprise: baby found both terrible – my friend recommended something for baby #2 that I wish I knew with the first child: Angelic balm. Just rub a drop into each nostril and your baby can breathe deeply and sleep again. You can read here why angelica balm is suitable for a child. (Elena)

#2 milk collection container

Every drop counts – every breastfeeding mom who has ever used a breast pump knows this. A breast milk collector that catches the excess milk that is constantly dripping from the breast is all the more valuable when you start breastfeeding. For this purpose, for example, during breastfeeding, the manual silicone breast pump attached to the other breast by Haakaa where, thanks to its natural suction power, it also relieves the breast. The milk does not run off unnecessarily into the cup and the breasts are relieved. This part is great, especially in the first few weeks after the milk arrives. (sabina)

#3 Bouncer

When can you actually take a shower or eat something when you’re home all day alone with a baby? A question you’ve never asked yourself before because each other’s babies seem to be able to happily lie on their backs for hours. Dandelion, our 2 month old baby preferred to stay upright to always have us in sight. That’s why a bouncer like this lightweight and foldable model by BabyBjorn Here. In it, she could happily watch me eat breakfast, take a shower, or unload the dishwasher. (Giulia)

#4 Growing high chair

For me it’s a growing high chair like that Travel trap of Stoke. With the right attachment, your baby can lie down from birth and be at the table with us, our three-year-old twins get on and off independently and our oldest uses hers as a desk chair for the first time when she starts school. #5 Infant high chair attachment

If several mums rave about a product independently of each other, it must be really helpful – for young parents it is Newborn attachment, for example for the Tripp Trapp, in which the child lies on a kind of seat at table height, a great relief for family meals together. Finally your hands are free when you eat and the baby is still at the table. (tina)

#6 Silicone bib

Quite useful: silicone bib with drip tray. So you don’t have to scrape old cement-hard porridge off bibs or carpets and you save laundry and water too – win-win! (Natalie)

#7 hip seat

If the little ones are already too mobile for the stretcher, but still want to be carried 23456 times a day, a hip seat such a relief. The weight is easier to carry and mom or dad has at least one arm free. It’s not necessarily suitable for long distances, but the hip seat has proven its worth for a short cuddle break, as a sleep aid or as a means of transport home. (Janina)

#8 Portable night light

A portable night light like this one Nuk night light it is a practical help in all situations: you can take it with you everywhere! For example, she took us on an RV tour with a baby — and during the first three months, when, as a new mom, I didn’t have the courage to turn off the light completely at night. This little lamp shone softly and softly all night while the child slept in the extra bed. Great for nursing in bed at night without someone waking up ‘next door’. And also very practical as a flashlight to go to the changing table at night. Today, six years later, we use them to read. It’s a bit of an underdog among products, but we found this lamp to be very useful. (Suzanne)

#9 Footboard for the stroller

A turning point in our daily life with two children is definitely this Footboard for stroller. Why? Because even the older brother doesn’t always want to walk, especially when the younger child enjoys the luxury of being pushed around in the pram. Almost everyone “rides” well with the board on wheels and the rides can sometimes be longer. (Giulia)

#10 Child friendly toilet seat

I’ve always thought that going to the bathroom could become a drama in our country. But the gain in self-confidence, independence and self-efficacy that a comfortable children’s toilet seat is like that of angelic bliss in our routine it was just amazing. Suddenly the annoying topic wasn’t so annoying anymore. Suddenly our son was sitting on the toilet like a king, unspeakably proud and completely relaxed. Many, many rounds of “I see something you don’t see” from the bowl are proof of how comfortable this seat must be. For us a real game changer on the road to nappy-free independence. (Ulrica)

A with the Show with mouse to quote: “Sounds strange now, but that’s how it is.” But for me the most enriching product is in everyday life with children happy ass, the ass shower. My latest game changer has been Bluetooth headphones (eg sound nucleus OR Apple). This suddenly turned the accompaniment of sleep into a “me moment”.
