The price changes of the 15 amusement parks at a glance

TRAVELBOOK shows below how the prices have changed for 15 amusement parks in Germany.

Europe Park

Entrance prices to Europa-Park have increased in all categories, with the exception of children under the age of four. There are two price categories (PK) for adults, which depend on the season or apply to certain periods. Daily and seasonal prices are available for children aged 4 to 11 and seniors aged 60 and over.

Country Rasti

In Rasti-Land there is no day ticket explicitly for the elderly. Rather, there is a fixed price for all persons over the age of twelve. As in the previous year, children under the age of three can also enter the park for free in 2023. For children over the age of three, however, there was also a price increase. If you want to save money, you can buy a date ticket online and pay two euros less than at the box office.

Horizon Park

There is something special about the prices in Skyline Park. It is not classified by age, but by size. Age is only relevant for seniors.

Schwaben Park

In all price categories, the admission price is increased by three euros. Admission for children up to two years is still free. If you want to save money, you can buy your ticket online and pay two euros less – this applies to all price categories.

Fort Fun Adventure Land

In Fort Fun Adventure Land, categorization is also based on size. Only children under the age of four or under 90 centimeters in height do not have to pay anything. Height doesn’t matter to the elderly. For a cheaper ticket, visitors must be over 60 years old.

travel drill

Prices for Tripsdrill Amusement Park are online prices only, as no tickets were offered at the box office in 2022. This will be possible again from 2023. In order to be able to compare prices better, TRAVELBOOK has compared the prices online for both years. The 2023 prices vary according to the season. They are cheaper in the off season. Also: if you don’t buy a ticket online but want to buy it at the ticket office on site, you have to pay up to six euros more in all categories (except for children under four).

Amusement park spokesperson Tripsdrill summarizes the reasons for the hikes like this: “The price hike was one-sided […] necessary due to the progressive development of the park and its growing offer […]. On the other hand, due to rising costs, for example in the areas of energy, personnel, repairs, procurement, etc.”

Hansa park

You will also have to pay more for a visit to Hansa-Park in 2023 than in 2022. Children under four can still enter the park for free, but prices have increased in the other categories. “The basis for our price adjustments is always primarily the expansion of our offer,” said a TRAVELBOOK spokesman. Furthermore, he points out that rising costs are also reasons for increases.

Pott Park

Even in Potts Park you have to pay more this year, but only a few euros. Tickets cost the same both online and at the on-site box office.

fantasyland

Price increases have also been recorded in Phantasialand, but there are no fixed prices. Depending on the day, the price may change. Because in Phantasialand there are often campaign days when tickets are sold at a reduced price. You can also save money if you book a ticket in advance. It can also happen that the entrance ticket is cheaper if you look at the previous year’s normal prices. However, the “normal” prices for day tickets have all increased compared to the previous year.

Whether this action is short-term or long-term is unknown. The price for visitors aged twelve and over is in fact 61 euros and for visitors between three and 11 years old it is 49 euros. Admission is free for children under the age of three.

Holiday Park

The prices in the holiday park have been increased in all categories. But you can save with a simple trick. The energy crisis and new attractions drive up prices

TRAVELBOOK asked the 15 amusement parks for prices for 2022 and 2023. Ten parks replied, for the other five parks we determined the prices online. We are mainly referring to the online portal “Adventure theme park“, which listed the previous year’s prices.

Two points in particular are decisive for price increases. On the one hand, energy costs have risen sharply in recent months. To deal with this, the parks pass the additional costs onto visitors, which can be seen in the ticket prices. And the attractions like roller coasters etc. are constantly renewed and maintained. This is also associated with additional costs, which the consumer ultimately feels even when it comes to the entrance ticket.
