Elsa of Arendelle is an enchanting ice queen. The Frozen star has become an integral part of costume parties and carnivals. We will show you how to do Elsa’s makeup with ease and create an amazing makeup look.

The Frozen star Elsa also excites the little ones and also cuts a good figure as a costume for carnivals or masquerade parties. If you are still looking for the right makeup, you will find it here. We explain step by step how to do Elsa’s makeup.

Makeup for Elsa: material and instructions

You need:

  • Trick in two different shades of blue (dark blue, light blue), white and red (expert note: Makeup tubes and brushes are better than makeup markers, as they can be used to work out much finer details.)
  • Synthetic hair makeup brush in different sizes
  • Small Cosmetic sponge
  • Cosmetic glitter; Note: Be sure to use glitter that says “For cosmetic use; contains no metal.” This note guarantees that this is cosmetic glitter and does not contain metal. However, handmade glitter should not be used for make-up as it could cause damage to the eyes.

A notification: To test skin compatibility, it is best to apply makeup to a small, inconspicuous area 24 hours before applying makeup to the child. This way you can rule out the possibility of your child having an allergic reaction to makeup.

Here’s how it’s done:

1. Primers: Use the cosmetic sponge to pick up some blue and apply a delicate foundation to the bridge of the nose, upper bridge of the nose and eyelids.

2. Paint Drops: Use a brush to paint blue and white drops on the lower part of the forehead. You can make the drops monochromatic or dare by creating a special ombré effect. For the ombré effect, use a wider brush with two colors picked up. When you paint on your face it creates an amazing ombré effect. However, this technique initially requires some practice. If you’re not sure, try it on the back of your hand first.

3. Decorating the eyes: Use a wider brush and draw a broad, sweeping line along the upper eyelid. Also place white teardrop shapes on the sides of the eyes. Individual white dots can still be painted as snowflakes.

4. Use a thin brush and paint a small dot between the eyes with red makeup. Under the eyebrows, two narrow red lines are drawn with a thin brush.

5. End: If you want, you can finally apply some cosmetic glitter on your cheeks and forehead (never use homemade glitter)! And Elsa is ready!

Note on removing makeup: When removing makeup, follow the makeup instructions. In most cases, makeup can be carefully removed with a washcloth and warm water. If any makeup remains, you can use a cotton pad and a gentle facial cleanser.
