Taylor Swift’s sequin dress at the Nashville Songwriters Awards

For Taylor Swift, a new album comes with a new era of style. The 11-time Grammy winner was honored as Songwriter-Artist of the Decade at the Nashville Songwriters Awards on Wednesday night, where she looked slinky in a black sequined dress. It was a tougher choice for the singer, who began revealing her ‘Midnight’ tracklist on TikTok just hours after the ceremony. The design of the Michael Kors collection had all the elements of a sleek and striking dress: an asymmetric hip cut, one sleeve and a long slit.

With her blonde hair in a long bouncy pony, Swift paired the mock-neck dress with sparkly Aquazzura sandals and Rahaminov Diamonds earrings. As she performed the full 10-minute version of “All Too Well” and spoke about her approach to songwriting, her outfit sparkled at every turn. So far in her “Midnight” era, Swift has leaned toward bright embellishments and flattering silhouettes, similar to her fashion during her “Fame” era in 2017 and 2018.

To showcase her upcoming music during a surprise appearance at the VMAs in August, she donned a sheer Oscar de la Renta gown covered in encrusted crystals. Later that night for an after party, she changed into a midnight blue Moschino scarf embellished with crystals and sequined stars. More recently, Swift opted for another unexpected outfit for the Toronto International Film Festival on September 11, a Louis Vuitton gown embellished with mirrored gold coin detailing.
