WhatsApp keep working on new features. As revealed by the specialized portal WABetaInfo, the messaging ‘app’ owned by Facebook is currently developing a tool that will allow the user transfer chat history between iOS devices, i.e. iPhone, and Android. It is one more step from the platform on the way to the arrival of the multi-device mode, which will allow the Internet user to use the same WhatsApp account on several terminals at the same time.
At the moment, the possibility of migrating conversations is in development and it is not known when it will be available. However, the portal has already shared a screenshot in which you can see the appearance of the functionality. Likewise, it is pointed out that to link a device that has a different operating system to a WhatsApp account, it will be necessary to update to the latest available version of the application.
From WABetaInfo they also maintain that, although it is currently possible to transfer WhatsApp chats through the use of third-party applications, this path is not advisable, since it poses a risk to the data stored on the platform. It should also be remembered that the use of these external tools violates the terms of service of the ‘app’.
The multi-device function has been in development for more than a year. “Although it may not seem like it, WhatsApp is giving high priority to this function, which will allow you to use your WhatsApp account on several devices at the same time,” they point out from the portal, which also emphasizes that, when it is available, “it will totally change your experience in WhatsApp ».
We have recently learned that the messaging application also is working on other functionalities; one of them will allow the user to contact the technical service of the application from within the platform. Likewise, it is expected that the possibility of scheduling the disappearance of photos and messages in 24 hours and the encryption of conversations in the cloud, among other tools, will soon be available.
