6 skin care tips for a spring glow – STYLEBOOK

People & Style

Everyone wants to have that “glow” – skin that looks as fresh as after a spring walk. Unfortunately, the reality on our face looks different, especially after a long winter: pale, pale, not very radiant. STYLEBOOK has six beauty tips on how to get a beautiful complexion.

1. The basis for the glow is a peeling

In order for pale skin to regain its radiance, old skin cells must first be removed. A professional peeling by a beautician can work wonders. Depending on the skin type, gentle fruit acid or enzyme peelings are recommended. These loosen dead skin cells. As skin may be more sensitive to light for some days, sunscreen is highly recommended. But you can also use a peeling yourself at home. In order not to further irritate the skin, you should rely on chemical peels that contain AHA or BHA acids instead of mechanical ones.

2. Hydration is a must

Only plump, well-moisturized skin glows. It’s not a peasant rule, but it’s well known. It is best to apply a moisturizing mask immediately after peeling and leave it to take effect. Use a hyaluronic acid serum every day. If you haven’t already, you should incorporate it into your skincare routine to plump up your skin. Then use a moisturizer that suits your skin type. For complete protection, daytime sunscreen should have a high sun protection factor. Even a nourishing oil can work wonders. To keep it from being too sticky, make sure the texture is light and the oil absorbs quickly. If you want to go a little less pale, you can use a day care product with a built-in self-tanner in the morning or mix a small amount of Self Tan with your face cream. Also, make sure you drink plenty of water or unsweetened tea, which is the best way to keep your skin youthful.

3. Primers can correct imperfections and add radiance

Primers are perfect for achieving a glowing complexion and creating an ideal base for makeup. They consist primarily of silicones that sit on the skin like a veil, making fine lines and pores virtually invisible. At the same time, it prevents the foundation from being absorbed too quickly. In addition to silicones, color pigments are often included that correct the complexion: green neutralizes redness, apricot makes a beige skin tone appear fresher. As soon as the moisturizer has been well absorbed, the primer is applied sparingly.

4. You can also ensure freshness with foundation

For a natural look, choose a foundation with a light, hydrating texture. If you have mature skin, makeup with shiny particles should be avoided, as they accentuate wrinkles. Otherwise, this can provide extra glow. Start with the foundation on the central part of the face, i.e. the chin, cheeks and forehead. Liquid makeup gives the complexion more luminosity than other foundations.

5. Concealer makes dark circles disappear

Correctors refresh tired eyes. They perfectly hide the shadows under the eyes. But only if they have the right consistency. Best as a paste and then always make sure to pat the concealer gently with your fingers or apply it with a suitable brush only after foundation. Liquid correctors, on the other hand, are indicated for redness and small corrections.

For a sun-kissed look, simply apply a small amount of liquid bronzer as a highlighter to your cheeks, hairline and bridge of your nose (the areas most exposed to the sun). If you have a naturally pale complexion, you should be careful to use a light terracotta blush for a natural look. A lipstick that matches your skin tone also adds extra freshness to your look. The final step is a highlighter that you apply to the highest point of your cheeks. Some of it on the tip of the nose and under the highest point of the eyebrows will make your complexion look radiant as well.
