Instead, we’re likely to see “the car leaving the Ritz after midnight being chased by paparazzi, then the aftermath with the British ambassador to France making liaisons with the Foreign Office, and then the constitutional ramifications,” according to a source at the Production. “We were dreading getting to this point,” adds the filming source, “As we calmly continue filming, you have to admit there is a certain unease…a palpable sense of nervousness. This is a very delicate matter, after all. ” Also on display are Prince Charles, who lands in Paris on a royal plane to take Diana’s body to London, and Mohamed Al-Fayed, who is snubbed by the French authorities when he accepts his son’s coffin.
More photos emerged from the set late last year showing Debicki in an animal-print bathing suit, a near-exact replica of the one worn by Princess Diana on a vacation with Dodi Fayed in the Mediterranean just weeks before her death. This could indicate that Diana’s tumultuous final summer will be a major focus of season six.
