The family is growing! The next Götze baby is on the way

Baby number 2! Mario and Ann-Kathrin Götze are expecting a brother for their son Rome. Football club Eintracht Frankfurt announced the good news on Twitter.
It’s wonderful news: Eintracht Frankfurt, the soccer team of Mario Götze, 30, reveals on Twitter that the athlete and his wife Ann-Kathrin Götze, 33, are expecting baby number two! “SECOND GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: @MarioGoetze is going to be a dad again! Congratulations to you and your wife AnnKathrin,” read the club’s official statement after the win against VfB Stuttgart on Wednesday evening, 3 May 2023.
Ann-Kathrin and Mario Götze: a brother for Roma
Ann-Kathrin and Mario have never made a secret of the fact that they wanted a brother for Rome. “If we’re lucky, we’ll get even more. It’s the biggest blessing for me,” her happy mother revealed to her fans on Instagram. In June 2022, on the “From Dubai with love” podcast, she told Ina Aogo, 34, that she and her husband Mario were actively working to “grow the club.” The influencer would like to have a girlfriend, after all “Mario already has his Mini-Me”. But if he’s a boy, “I think he’s cute, too,” says Ann-Kathrin.
The right moment
As for the best time for baby number two, the player’s wife had concrete ideas. “Actually I want to take an example from you. You did well” – by which she means the distance between Ina Aogo’s children. “Three or four years is fine,” says Götze. Rome saw the light on June 5, 2020.
