Bikini trend: the stars will wear this bikini in the summer of 2023

Remember the iconic look of Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia in “Star Wars” in the 80s, wearing a gold bikini and her hair in a long braid, or even celebrities like Rihanna or Paris Hilton wearing in the early 80s did they increasingly appear in glittery bikinis in the 90s? Now, in the summer of 2023, it looks like the metallic bikini is having its big revival.

This summer’s hottest bikini trend

Whether for tanning on the beach, at the pool party or on the streets of the metropolis: metallic bikinis always work. To make the summer metallic look perfect, the bikini is best combined with matching accessories – bags, shoes, belts or jewelry – in the same shade. This season we also see the bikini not only in classic silver and gold, but also in pink, turquoise and black. So it doesn’t matter which color you choose this summer – the main thing is metallic!

These stars have already appeared in metallic bikinis

As the saying goes: two is a coincidence, three is a trend. We’ll show you which stars have already rocked the metallic bikini and what you need to keep in mind.

Dua Lipa

Matching Dua Lipa’s new music video “Dance the Night,” in which she already performs in a metallic look, the singer has now also appeared on Instagram in a bright pink bikini. She paired it with a handbag of the same color and material and pink platform heels. With the car (also pink, of course) only one key word comes to mind: Barbiecore!

The Kardashians

It’s no secret that Khloé and Kim Kardashian often provide us with extravagant looks. Both appeared at the beach in metallic bathing suits: Kim in a silver bikini and Khloé in a silver bathing suit from Kim’s label SKIMS. To emphasize the metallic look, the two also wore mirrored sunglasses – with their looks they clearly followed the motto: “Same same, but different”.
